Out of office

Hello lovely readers! It certainly is the holiday season... It has been nice to receive many ‘out of office’ reminders this month, knowing that hopefully lots of you are off enjoying some well-deserved relaxation time.

As I put this issue to bed, I’m looking forward to some annual leave myself and I do hope if you haven’t had yours, it is coming soon. In the meantime, we hope we can make your workday even more enjoyable with the latest content from Training Matters!

This month, our Public Eye feature takes an in-depth look at non-visible disabilities. This makes for not only an interesting read, but also shines a light on an area where pharmacy teams can really make a difference to people’s lives – exploring how best to use the space in the pharmacy to help everyone feel welcome and respected. We have a special feature on holistic health as well as a sit down with Claire Steele, the Association for Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK) president, and hear just how she is aiming to drive membership up within the community pharmacy sector – well worth a read to find out how and why community pharmacy technicians can get involved in the professional body.
